WHO WE ARE...
Mahayana Buddhist Association (MBA) is the name given by our Guru. We are one of the more than 150 Dharma centres, projects and community services pending affiliation with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) founded by two most beloved lamas - Lama Thubten Yeshe (1935-84) and His heart disciple, Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche in 1975. Dedicated to preserving and transmitting the Mahayana Buddhist tradition, the Foundation has experienced considerable support and success in providing an array of dharma activities with Lamas' sole aim of benefiting all sentient beings. With the kind approval of the spiritual director of the Foundation - most respectable Lama Zopa Rinpoche, the centre in Hong Kong was established in 1989 and was named Mahayana Buddhist Association. We are a government registered non-profit-making religious community.
